SmartSkin™ is a fractional, micro-ablative CO2 laser used for advanced skin resurfacing and rejuvenation. It treats wrinkles, uneven tone, rough texture, sun damage, brown pigment, age spots, scars, stretch marks, and blotchy skin. It can also improve dark under-eye circles, smooth eyelid skin, tighten lax skin, and rejuvenate the neckline, décolleté, hands, and other areas of the body.

The treatment can take as little as 20 minutes, depending on the size of the area. It delivers tiny microscopic laser beams that create controlled micro-channels in the skin, removing columns of damaged tissue while leaving surrounding skin intact to speed healing. This process stimulates the body’s natural repair response and boosts collagen production deep within the dermis, resulting in smoother, firmer, more even, and more radiant skin. Improvements in tone and texture are often noticeable quickly and continue to develop over the following months.

SmartSkin™ CO2 incorporates fractional micro-ablative resurfacing technology along with a proprietary scanning delivery system, allowing both skin resurfacing and collagen rejuvenation in a single treatment. Unlike fully ablative lasers that remove the entire surface layer, SmartSkin™ targets only damaged areas, resulting in significantly less downtime and discomfort while still delivering comprehensive skin renewal.
We apply a topical numbing anesthetic to your skin prior to the procedure. The treatment takes approximately 30–60 minutes, depending on the areas being treated. Many patients describe the sensation as similar to being snapped with a rubber band combined with a feeling of heat.
Recovery depends on the intensity of your customized treatment. Most patients experience redness, swelling, and peeling for up to a week. During this time, it’s important to use gentle skincare, avoid retinol and exfoliants, and protect your skin from sun exposure.
Immediately after the treatment, your skin will feel warm and appear to be sunburned. You may experience pinpoint bleeding and swelling for the next few days. Your skin will peel and feel rough as the old and damaged skin is destroyed and eliminated. Recovery can be as mild as some redness for a few days to several days of peeling and redness depending on the treatment settings. Make-up can usually be applied after 5 days.
